Newcastle Town Moor

Newcastle Town Moor

By:
Andrew Thorp and Pedalling Hope Community Cycle Club

This is an introductory route that Andrew Thorp, who is the Cycling Development Officer based in Newcastle, helped to plan with one of  the Community Clubs ‘Pedalling Hope CC’. Natalie, the leader of the group, wanted a route that was good for beginners and with interest for them to keep them going and enthused. This route takes the riders from the base of the Club (at The Bike Garden, in Nunns Moor Park, Studley Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 5NU) to Exhibition Park and back again in a loop through the famous Town Moor in the city. Along the ride people see urban green hills and the famous ‘town moor cows!
