Cycling UK, the national cycling charity, is aiming to inspire a million more people onto their bikes and needs an enthusiastic and dynamic Communications and Media Officer at its headquarters in Guildford to help us.

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing media campaigns, reacting to news stories, and producing engaging content celebrating everything that’s great about cycling.

Marketing and Events Programme Manager

Are you awesome at delivering creative marketing campaigns and successful events?

If so, we want to hear from you. Cycling UK is seeking an experienced Marketing and Events Programme Manager to join our Engagement Team. This team is responsible for delivering some of Cycling UK’s key national activities, including UK Bike Week and the Women’s Festival of Cycling. The role is key to supporting delivery of our target to get a million more people cycling by 2023. You’ll inspire and motivate people about the pleasure of riding a bike and the wide-ranging benefits cycling can bring to them as individuals as well as to wider society, such as improving health and reducing pollution.

You don’t need to be a cyclist to be great at this role – what you do need is a passion to create effective campaigns that promote change, excellent attention to detail and be driven by results.

You’ll have at least four years’ experience across marketing and event management within the charity or not for profit sectors. This role will lead on the development, strategy and delivery for national activities, utilising your knowledge of targeting audiences, influencing decision makers and project management. You will use a wide range of marketing and communications skills, including digital expertise; be able to lead complex projects; and be an integral part of helping to shape our new strategy.
