Celebrate the Cycle Path / Big Bike Revival

Big Bike Revival
Description

One of Britain's best-used cycle paths is here in Old Marston, Oxford! Come along to Old Marston Community Orchard after school on July 10th to celebrate this surprising fact, and get some tips for bike maintenance and cycling around Oxford. If your kids are going to be using the cycle path to get to the Summertown secondary school one day, this could be a great chance to try out the route together...with stickers and party snacks after a short bike ride!

This is a free event aimed at families living in Marston. Bring bikes if you like!

More information about the family bike ride: You can sign up in advance for the family bike ride beforehand by contacting Nancy on the email below, or come to the sign-up table in the orchard on the day.

Safety notes:

Please arrive taking extra care of pedestrians around the school and follow signs if arriving by bike

Please ensure all bikes to be ridden on the day are running well (i.e. tyres inflated and in good condition, two working brakes, operative gears if you have them, and chain oiled). (There will be bike savvy people about if you need help with this, and we will have tools for adjusting saddle height etc.)
