Manchester & District CTC - AGM 2023

Manchester & District CTC - AGM 2023

We will be holding our AGM on Sunday 28th May 2023 at Poynton Church Hall (between the Methodist Church and Waitrose), off Park Lane in Poynton.  You may be a member of Manchester & District CTC or one of our informal groups, Peak Audax CTC, Rochdale CTC, West Manchester, or Bury CTC.

Join us for a brew at 10am in time to start our meeting at 10:15am.  Don't forget to bring your bike, as when we've finished our business we'll have a ride.  You even get a choice of route!  There is no entry fee for the rides, but they will almost certainly involve a cafe stop so bring some cash or your bank card.

  • The Budworths 107km (67 miles) to Great and Little Budworth
  • The Elementary 65km (40 miles) to Holmes Chapel
  • The Marple 20km (16 miles) group ride

All machines welcome, including road bikes, gravel bikes, etc, bring whatever you have.  You can even use an electric bike, but just make sure you have enough battery power to make it all the way.  The Budworths and Elementary rides are self-led road rides following the supplied route sheet or GPX file, while the Marple ride will have a ride leader and use quiet lanes and the Middlewood Way.

See www.DelphCyclist.info/MADmeetings.html for details of the proposals to be discussed at the meeting, as well as details of the above rides (maps, routesheets, GPX files etc).

For the AGM, our main order of business this year will be to restructure the organisation. Peak Audax will take over the responsibility for representing our groups within Cycling UK, and we'll create a new informal group (Cycling UK Manchester) for those who wish to remain a member of a non-Audax Manchester cycling group.

Please email Secretary@ManchesterCTC.co.uk to let him know if you'll be attending

Mike Wigley, Secretary, Manchester & District CTC
