Recyke y’bike – donor bikes required

Recyke y’bike is a bike recycling charity based in Newcastle and Durham; please see below for information on their locations, telephone numbers and opening hours. They take bikes donated by the public and return them to good condition, or salvage the parts or scrap them responsibly. About half of the bikes go on to charitable use (donated or passed on to other projects) and the others are sold for a reasonable price through their two shops. They also do servicing and repairs. During Covid-19 they have kept going, and are offering free servicing to key worker’s bikes with Cycling UK’s support.

As you will know, cycling is booming and Recyke y’bike are now noticing that their supply of donor bikes is reducing. If you have an old bike you can donate to them they would greatly appreciate it.
