This CIC takes an inclusive approach to cycling by providing leisure and tourism experiences to physically disabled people.
Due to Experience Community’s work, physically disabled cyclists can access the countryside and enjoy the freedom of being outside. Experience Community works hard to open otherwise inaccessible spaces for trikes and off-road cycles by working with landowners to improve paths. They also video the rides themselves so anyone considering coming along can view the routes, and decide whether they are comfortable joining in. They organise rides at various distances across Yorkshire, Cumbria and Durham and they are constantly developing their repertoire of rides.
Their aims are to help build self-esteem, confidence and ability, and for this Cycling UK is very pleased to recognise their huge postive impact in many people's lives.
