Pedal Power to the Palace
Sybil is the director of Pedal Power Cardiff, a CTC affiliated group and the home to Cardiff CTC’s monthly Café Rides. She set up Pedal Power Cardiff 16 years ago.
Pedal Power has grown from a bike trip to the Forest of Dean for residents of Ely Hospital to the large project it is today. It has a bike shed full of every type of bike imaginable, its outreach work and café help many people to get cycling and learn to ride a bike.
What better way, given Sybil’s work in making cycling accessible to all, than to collect the medal by bike."
Gwenda Owen
CTC Councillor for Wales
So on Friday 10 October a group will accompany Sybil on her four-day bike ride from Pedal Power in time for her to collect her medal from Buckingham Palace. It is expected that others will be joining along the way to ride shorter sections.
There will be a big send off from the Pedal Power Project at 9.30 am on Friday 10 October. Then CTC Councillor for Wales Gwenda Owen will lead the ride to London via Bristol, Devizes and Reading.
If anyone wants to join in along the way please email Gwenda Owen.

We're being joined by Bristol
We're being joined by Bristol CTC members who have offered to lead us on a less messy route out of Bristol! Some Birds on Bikes are joining us on Sunday some where along the Avon and Kennet Canal. Hoping for a bit of help getting out of Reading on Monday morning if anyone is about?
Cheers
Gwenda
