Notice Of Cycling UK Reading Annual General Meeting April 16th 2023

This is to formally invite all members of Cycling UK Reading to the AGM.

Date Sunday 16th April 2023, 3:00pm for a 3:30pm start.  Ends 5:30pm.
Location Function room upstairs at the Griffin public house, 10-12 Church Road, Caversham, RG4 7AD
Parking There is cycle and car parking behind the pub; access is to the right-hand side of the pub.  Car vehicles MUST be registered with the pub to avoid a parking fine.  Alternative parking available behind Waitrose.

AGM Motions

I would invite any motions that members may have for the AGM to be forwarded to Sel Dixon, Cycling UK Reading Secretary (details below).  Motions will need to be proposed and seconded by other members.

Nominations for committee posts

Nominations are sought for any of the committee roles with a proposer and a seconder

I would notify you that the following people are prepared to stand as your committee :-

• Secretary – Sel Dixon, standing for re-election
• Treasurer – Mike Hardiman, standing for re-election for one more year
• Welfare Secretary - Mick Simmons, standing for re-election
• Off-Road Representative/Liaison – Ian Doyle, standing for re-election
• Webmaster – Al Neal, standing for re-election
• Campaigns officer - Karen Robertson, standing for re-election
• Events Secretary - Jeanette Jeans, standing for re-election
• Publicity Secretary - Pete Nightingale, standing for election
• On-road Representative/Liaison - Edwin Raj, standing for election.

I would notify you that there is a vacancy on the committee for the following role :-

• Rides Secretary

All nominations and motions must be submitted by Friday 31st March 2023 to secretary@cyclingukreading.org.uk  via email or by post to 108 Albert Road, Caversham, Reading, RG4 7PL.

Following receipt of the motions and nominations they will be circulated via email to the members along with the final agenda.
