March has arrived and rumour has it that Spring is on the way, but hasn't arrived just yet.
So, to ease you out of winter and into Spring, Cycle Ayrshire has 6 events for you to choose from.
The March winds may blow but we keep on cycling through them, assuming they are not storm force!
Our popular DIY ride series means you can choose your own route, distance and speed to meet up with like minded cyclists.

We have reported it but as yet have no resolution.

Saturday March 2nd. @ 10.00am - 15 miles
A circular route taking in a coffee stop at Langholm Farm.
Anne S. navigates her way through Barassie, Shewalton Wood and Drybridge to Langholm.
Depending on weather, back via Corraith or the Kerrix Road.
Mixture of cycle paths, housing estates, quiet roads with one section on the busy A746 (about a mile).
Mainly flat but a few hills thrown in to make the coffee stop worthwhile!

Sunday March 3rd. @ 10.00am - 30 miles
From Belleisle, Keith Hull takes us through Alloway and across the A77 to Dalrymple.
Onwards to Kirkmichael and Straiton where we take a right onto Knockgardner for Kilkerran, returning via Maybole and Culroy.
No coffee/lunch stops during the ride.
Optional coffee stop in the Belleisle cafe after the ride.
The aim is to complete the ride in 3 hours to be finished by 1.00pm.
So, you should be able to average 10mph before registering for this ride.
If you can't go 30 miles without eating then bring snacks to eat "on the go".

Saturday March 9th. @ 10.30am - 11.30am
Nominated meeting point is Ochiltree Community Hub.
Note carefully the earlier than usual suggested time (10.30 - 11.30) as the Hub tends to get busy after 11.00.

Make the ride as long or as short as you want and as fast or slow as your heart desires - your choice.
If you are interested in finding out about our club by talking face-to-face with members, this is the ideal opportunity to do so.
No need for any registration for a DIY event.
Just turn up if you feel like it.

Picnic lunch somewhere along the route.

From Barassie Jim L. takes us through Monkton, Mossblown, Stair and Ochiltree for lunch at Boswell's Coach House.
Heading home via Tarbolton, Bogend, Symington, Loans and Barassie.
Approx. 1800ft of climbing
