The Wednesday ride this week starts at the Robin's Nest pub on Gilmerton Road. Meet at 09.50 ready for a 10.00 start. The route can be seen at :-

We head out on Gilmertton Road with a comfort stop in Dalkeith. We will pass the Humbie Hub before going on to Soutra Aisle for our picnic stop. I'm a little concerned about continuing to the A7 near Heriot as I don't wish to take a large group on the busy A7. We will therefore retrace our steps for a couple of miles before heading to Pathhead, Crichton, Newton Grange, Eskbank and Dobbies for afternoon tea.

If the weather is inclement we may stay at Humbie Hub for lunch rather than a picnic at Soutra Aisle. The forecast is for some light rain and a light wind, but this could change to being gloriously hot and sunny  -  in your dreams!!

At any turns, make sure the person behind sees you. Please take note of my phone number 07900 462304 6662943  in case you get separated from the group.

Please ensure your bike is roadworthy, and that you carry 2 spare inner tubes and tools.

You will need snacks, water,  lunch and a bike lock, some money or plastic for afternoon tea.

Remember you are riding at your own risk and whilst the group will always try to help, you are responsible for looking after yourself and getting yourself home.
