In 2014 three staff were trained as bicycle mechanics, each gaining the Industry Standard Gold Level Velotech Award. Since then the centre has grown steadily, reconditioning donated bikes and selling them with a three month warranty. When it`s not possible to recycle a donated bike, Kintyre Recycling tries to salvage any parts to use on another bike, and all other parts, frames etc. are then recycled. Bicycle servicing is also offered, with different tiers all including a free bike wash!
