CTC Bedfordshire stalwart Veronica Brown passed away at the age of 84 following a long illness. Numerous members have held the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer since 1926, but Veronica is one office-holder in particular who stands out. She was club President for 35 years from 1978 to 2013, having joined CTC in 1957. She was involved in every aspect of the DA and Group activities including recruitment, campaigning, educational and social events, rides organisation and newsletter production, and was herself a regular and enthusiastic rider.

Veronica received a CTC Certificate of Merit in 1996.

Her funeral took place on Friday 23 September at Bedford Crematorium.
