Glossary

There are two websites you need to be familiar with while we complete the transition of the old Groups Toolkit from the old website to the new website.

“The Groups Toolkit”

This is the old version of the Cycling UK website which was upgraded to Drupal 10 in 2023. All functionality except for the Groups Toolkit feature was migrated to the new website. It is accessed via https://groups.cyclinguk.org

“The main website”

This is the latest version of the Cycling UK website and contains all the latest editorial content as well as the publicity pages for all the member and affiliated groups. It is accessed via https://www.cyclinguk.org

Publicity page (“group home page”)

Each Cycling UK member and affiliated group has a publicity page on the main website. The publicity page has a biography, contact information and possibly subpages such as their own news and events.

The Groups Toolkit

The Groups Toolkit is found on the groups’ website and is only available to member groups. It allows authorised users to list all Cycling UK members who fall within their group’s post code area and also send out emails to those members.
