The ride this coming Sunday is to Smeaton Garden Centre by East Linton.

We will leave at 10am cycling east to Port Seaton for a toilet stop from where it’s the usual way to the level crossing on the A196 and onward east to Athelstaneford.

We continue eastward on minor roads to East Linton and on to the nearby Smeaton Garden Centre where we’ll have lunch.

The Smeaton Garden Centre Cafe doesn’t take table bookings but they have quite a few tables both outside and inside. They prefer us not to eat our own picnic while there.

On their menu they have meat, veg and vegan food.

After lunch we have a short ride east through the woods. We then  join a minor road and turn left up a hill. Once up we zigzag a bit until we get to the crossroads just west of Kingston.

We now turn westward, will skirt Aberlady and will join the A198 followed by the B1348 which will take us back to Fisherrow.

Total distance 43.5 miles.
