RIO Cycle To Work Day

Bike Week
Description

This is the Real Ideas Organisation's Cycle To Work Day. We will wind our way from Billacombe Road to the Guildhall, at a very leisurely pace, with frequent stops, along a route with a surprisingly high percentage of traffic-free sections, along with mainly quiet back roads. Once at the Devonport Guildhall, all participants will be treated to a free coffee or tea, and a scrumptious pastry from the Bakehouse. We will enjoy our treats between 09h00 and 10h00, before continuing with a normal day's work. Once the day is over, William will be available to escort you along the same route in reverse, so you won't simply be left to your own devices. Of course, you are free to join the ride at any point along the route!
This ride is exclusive to people who work for the Real Ideas Organisation.

We will set off from the bus stop just uphill from the Fairway Furniture roundabout on Billacombe Rd. From there, we will ride on Billacombe Road for a short distance, before following a mainly traffic-free route to the city centre. From the city centre, we will follow is slightly convoluted route that will take us down Eldad Hill, to take the traffic-free path through the playing fields, and onwards to the Devonport Guildhall, via Richmond Walk.
