Description

Join us on Sunday, 8th October 2023 for the 30th running of the iconic ‘GridIron 100’. One of the oldest on-road Cycle Randonnée’s in the UK. Acclaimed for the beauty of its route, along scenic minor roads, on a circuit of the New Forest adorned in its bright patchwork of stunning autumn colours.

To celebrate its 30th running we offer the choice of two routes. The original ‘Classic 100k’, designed to appeal to cyclists of a wide range of abilities, and the inaugural ‘Challenge 100 mile’, a much more demanding ride for the experienced cyclist.

Entry is now open at our new 'GridIron 100' website, visit https://www.gridironcc.org/ and is limited to 1000 participants. Enter now to avoid disappointment.

CTC Wessex trained Bikeability instructors provide training for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole schoolchildren of varying backgrounds, including children with special educational needs. The training covers from using a balance bike and progresses through to on road cycle training to enable children to ride safely to school.

We also provide training for adults who would like to learn to ride or who would like to improve their confidence whilst cycling on the road.

The funding of the training Bikeability instructors comes entirely from the small surplus made by the 'GridIron 100'.
