Group ride
Description

Redhall Park to East Whitburn Community Centre.
Wednesday 13 November 2019
Meet at 9:50 for 10:00 start.

Wednesday morning could be icy – if it is slippy I am not keen on cycling. I’ll update the Yahoo group on the morning.
Route:
Usual canal path to Riccarton campus for toilet stop, Long Dalmahoy road, Kirknewton, East calder, mid calder, NCN75 Livingston village, Simpson Parkway (A705), Seafield, left on to Blackburn road (B792), right to pass Mid Foulshiels farm, right on to Hen’s next road and then to the hall (rear hall booked from 12:30). The hall will be manned. 34km

Afternoon
Tea/coffee etc at Conifox.
Blackburn, possibly muddy track which I suggest folk walk (700m), on to NCN75, A7066 to Dechmont, Broxburn, Kirkliston and Conifox bistro. 23km. I am presuming everyone can make their own way home from there.

Carry spare warm clothing in case of delays or accidents, tools, at least two spare inner tubes, lights, energy snacks, money for the hall/ emergency and a packed lunch for the hall.

Text your name to 07949226156 to join the ride. I will not be using a tick list of names.
Take a note of my mobile number in case you get separated.

While experienced group members will always give assistance and advice to other riders ultimately you are responsible for yourself and making your own way home.  Hopefully no-one would be left in a situation of not knowing how to get home.

No attendance sheet will be completed instead text your name to my mobile number (above).  The ride is primarily for Cycling UK members.  However, non-members are welcome to attend, but would be expected to join Cycling UK after 3 rides.
