Accessing your group’s publicity page

All Cycling UK member groups (both formal and informal) and affiliate groups can have their own publicity page (or microsite) on our website.

This page appears on our listing of local groups (https://www.cyclinguk.org/group-listing) and will help people looking for their nearest cycling club to decide if yours is for them.

Once the page is set up, the main group contact will receive an email from us and they can then edit it as they wish by:

  • Adding photos and information about the group
  • Adding a link to their own website
  • Providing contact and social media details
  • Registering events and rides on Cycling UK’s events listing page (https://www.cyclinguk.org/event-listing)

In addition, Cycling UK’s member groups, which are made up of our members, can also do the following via their additional page on our previous website which is now known as the Groups Toolkit:

  • See other members in their area
  • Check their volunteers
  • Send out communications to them

To start off with, the default contact for the group (the secretary is the main contact for Cycling UK member groups) is made the group page “manager”. The manager will then be able to add other group members as administrators to carry out specific functions.

If you are the secretary or default contact for your group, you just need to log onto the main Cycling UK website to activate your role as the manager of your group’s page. If you have not yet registered with the site, you will need to do this first.

The first time this happens, you will see a notification at the top of the screen and your group will be added to your user profile.
